WLC 2025: LEISURE FOR A BETTER SOCIETY

We are excited to invite you to the 18th World Leisure Congress (WLC 2025), hosted by Breda University of Applied Sciences in Breda, The Netherlands, from August 25-28, 2025.

This prestigious international event will bring together leisure professionals from academia, industry, and government to explore the theme “Leisure for a Better Society“, highlighting leisure’s crucial role in enhancing individual and collective well-being and promoting social and ecological sustainability.

The Congress will feature an in-depth academic programme. Highlights include keynotes, parallel sessions, and global debates. Additionally, there will be a dedicated Industry Day organised by the Dutch Centre of Expertise Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality (CELTH), featuring a comprehensive and attractive programme that includes technical tours.

We are thrilled to announce that the proposal submission for WLC 2025 is officially open!

This is your opportunity to shape the Congress agenda by proposing sessions and thematic tracks under the overarching theme, “Leisure for a Better Society.”

By submitting a session, you will get the unique chance to define the format, theme, speakers, and overall contribution of your chosen topic. Diversity and inclusivity are encouraged.

And by proposing a compelling new theme to be added to our already confirmed thematic tracks, you will be able to, upon acceptance, curate and chair sessions, and review abstract submissions aligned with your track’s focus!
